The Role

We are seeking a Senior Partner Executive to join our Partnerships Team — showcasing Knack as the most impactful way for institutions of Higher Education to deliver academic support programs to their students. In this role, you will be tasked with developing and delivering a stable book of business: prospecting, cultivating, and closing new partnerships while growing existing relationships and helping Knack attain its company revenue goals. You will work directly with our Vice President of Partnerships, Sales Team, and Marketing Team to drive and support the organization’s sales and marketing initiatives.

What you get to do...

  • Generate scalable revenue and hit target quota on a quarterly and annual basis
  • Refine sales pitches and outbound processes to match individual institution needs
  • Demonstrated success in a Sales role where you were directly responsible for identifying, negotiating, and contracting with University leadership prospects (think Provosts, Vice Presidents, & Deans)
  • Command, report, and forecast sales activity - from prospecting target accounts and contacts to closing deals and growing existing relationships
  • Expand pre-existing and new customer relationships by encouraging adoption and managing annual upsells
  • Work with an all-star, cross-functional team (Sales, Marketing, and Product) to establish growth strategies to support Knack’s revenue and sales goals


This may be for you if...

  • 5+ years of education technology quota-carrying sales experience in a fast-paced and competitive market with a focus on new business, a demonstrated history of propelling organizations to the next level, and are comfortable in a high-growth business environment
  • Experience navigating complex sales cycles with deal sizes of six figures and greater
  • Generate new leads through networking and prospecting, including cold calling, as well as using marketing activities of the company
  • A strong history of quota attainment and excellent performance on a high-reaching team
  • Experience operating in a high-growth business environment like Knack
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 40%
  • You are data-driven, innovative, organized, and curious
  • You crave autonomy and the freedom to carve out your niche, but still want the feeling of belonging to a team.

Extra credit

  • You have previous experience in selling technology in the higher education space.
  • Experience preparing sales proposals, forecasting, and account planning.
  • Ability to successfully drive revenue and growth through the development of long-term strategic relationships with existing customers.
